PROJECT OVERVIEW
Designing a student centre that is based around sustainability to be built in Temasek Polytechnic (TP). Constructing the building in Revit and implementing passive design strategies to make the building sustainable.
ENTRY (CONTENT)
Throughout this project I faced problems such as how to justify my design proposals that I wanted to implement. For example, when wanting to implement solar panels for the rooftop of the student centre, I had to make sure that the rooftop of the building received enough sunlight for me to implement the solar panel. I also wanted to implement a skylight for level 3 to let the natural daylight in and reduce the amount of artificial daylight needed. However, this meant that there was a lot of heat generated under the skylight, so I had to implement double glazed glass for the skylight to reduce the ETTV.

DESIGN PROCESS (REFLECTION)
With this PBL learning experience, I was able to learn to be on my own and conduct substantial research to ensure that the designs that I was implementing were feasible and necessary. Through this project, I learned how to create an A1 panel to represent and showcase my work. Additionally, I had to learn how to juggle completing this project and other projects from the other modules. I also had inspiration from the different case studies and tweaked some of the ideas they had and implemented them into the building.
