TARCHS PROJECT

This TARCH project had many challenges, from brainstorming ideas for some of the issues with the S-House to making sure all of our ideas as a group were coherent. The projects as a whole has taught me so much about Vietnamese architecture and how it influences the design of houses in the Mekong Delta.

Before this project, I could not see how some of the topics we were learning had any relevance and how to apply them. However, after doing this project, I am able to see how the different projects come together, and how everything we have learnt comes into play in helping to design an improved S-House. From looking at the climate of the Mekong Delta, to considering the surrounding conditions, I realised that designing a house may not be as easy as I once thought.

Although, I felt that this module was very demanding, from the projects to the heavy content, however I found that everything I have learnt has been beneficial and this module has also exposed me to a side of architecture I never knew
